Why Do We Snore & How Can the Stop Snoring Mouthpiece Help?

To understand how the Stop Snoring Mouthpiece works, it is vital that you understand the reason for snoring in the first place.

* When we sleep, most people sleep with their mouths closed. This causes the tongue to be pushed back towards the back of the throat, which causes the airways to be obstructed.
* When the airways are obstructed, the lungs are forced to work harder to expel and intake sufficient air to keep the body functioning properly.
* The obstructed airways also cause the tongue and tissue in the throat to vibrate, and that vibration is the sound that you hear and consider snoring.

The majority of the people who snore are those that breathe through their nose at night. Those that sleep with their mouths open and breathe through their mouths tend to have an easier time breathing, meaning that there is less effort required by the lungs to intake and expel air. In addition, those that sleep with their mouths open have less constriction around the throat and nasal passages, meaning that they can breathe much easier. Sleeping with your mouth open may be a cause of bad breath, but it certainly is a great way to stop snoring.

Love how you explained its working and everything! I think stop snoring mouthpieces are definitely more convenient than CPAP (my hubby used to use CPAP and while it did stop snoring, he had a hard time adjusting to it, but adjusted to TAP/Throat Adjusting Positioner/Mouthpiece much more easily).

P.S. lol love the sleeping positions chart, made me giggle! Thx.
