7 Day Detox Menus To With Your Detox
The 7 Day Detox diet is one that many people have heard of, and the truth is that it can be one of the most effective diet plans around for those that want to lose a bit of weight, get rid of toxins in their body, and feel a whole lot better about themselves. The diet is going to be a bit challenging, but coming up with the right foods to eat during these days will ensure that you can stay healthy despite the intense detox diet.
One of the main foods that you will be able to eat during your detox diet will be “Wonder Soup”, which is basically a cabbage soup that can be loaded with a few other veggies. Here’s a great recipe for making your own delicious wonder soup:
For this soup, you will need to chop up a head of cabbage, a couple of bell peppers, at least four onions, and a bit of garlic. Throw all of the ingredients into a soup pot, and bring them all to a boil. Use a bit of vegetable broth to add flavor to the soup, and add plenty of pepper, salt, and a dash of cardamom. When you’re done with this soup, sprinkle some dried chili powder onto it and enjoy.
Day 1: The Fruit Day
The first day of the diet involves eating just fruits, and this is going to be a very tough day for those that are used to eating a whole lot of food. Below are a couple of delicious meals that you can make with your fruit:
Apple Sauce – Whip up a pot of your favorite apple sauce by bringing peeled apples to a boil and adding a bit of cinnamon and cloves. Blend the apples if you like, or eat them in their normal state if you prefer.
Fruit Salad – For this dish, just chop up all of the fruits that you want into a delicious mixture, and serve with a bit of cinnamon and a pinch of salt sprinkled over the fruits. Apples and pears will go great with the cinnamon, though tropical fruits may be better when served with a dash of lemon or lime.
Fruit Smoothie – Whipping up fruit smoothies can be the way to go, and you will find that dropping a mango into a blender with water and frozen pineapple chunks can be the best way to get a delicious and filling smoothie.
Day 2: The Veggies Day
Now you’re going to be adding vegetables to the list of things that you can eat, and this is the part of the diet where you can really go all out on eating your raw foods. No fruits on this day, but plenty of greens. Here are a few ideas of meals for you:
Complete Salad – This salad will have everything that you can find in it, and you should consider celery, carrots, lettuce, cabbage, purple cabbage, tomatoes, onions, and radishes as the perfect mixture for your delicious salad meal.
Pureed Soup – Throw all of your favorite vegetables into a soup pot, bring it to a boil, and run it through a blender to get a delicious pureed veggie soup that is guaranteed to fill you up.
Day 3: Fruits and Veggies
Day 3 involves mixing both fruits and vegetables together, and you will find that there are a lot of things that you can do with the fruits and veggies:
Green Shakes – There are few things more filling than shakes, and green shakes with fruits and veggies will be the way to go.
Stick Snack – This is something that you can prepare ahead of time, and it can keep you full all day long. All you will need to do is chop up celery, cucumbers, carrots, apples, pears, and other delicious crunchy fruits and veggies into sticks, garnish with a bit of lemon or vinegar, and enjoy.
Day 4: Bananas and Milk
This is the day when you are able to eat a few bananas (something you weren’t able to before), and milk is another new addition to your diet. What can you do with this?
Banana Split – You won’t be able to use ice cream, but you can split your banana in half and dress it with wheat germ, brewers yeast, and other natural fibers to help improve your digestion.
Banana Milk – There’s nothing more delicious than a cup of banana milk, and you can make it using three frozen bananas and a cup of milk.
Day 5: Tomatoes and Protein
This day will involve eating a whole lot of tomatoes, so cherry tomatoes are definitely your best option if you want to enjoy the food you eat. Protein is also part of the menu, so it’s time to hit your freezer and pull out that salmon steak or chicken breast. Make sure to throw the protein on the grill to get the best taste, and use a rub of all your favorite spices to prepare it properly.
Day 6: Protein and Veggies
This is a day where you will almost feel like you’re eating normally once more, as you will heap your plate high with veggies – as well as a tiny piece of protein. You can eat just about any vegetable you want, and as much of it as you want. It will be a wonderful day to make your favorite stir-fry meal, though without oil of course. Garlic and onions will lend flavor to just about any dish, and it’s a good day to celebrate.
Day 7: Fruits, Veggies, Juices
This is the day when you get to eat and drink to your heart’s content, so it’s time to break out the juices and make some more green shakes – using all fruits and veggies of course. You can make the shakes using water as a base, or you can use your juicer to extract the fresh juice. It’s best to make the shakes using whole fruits, as that’s the best way to get all the fiber you can from the foods.
